Meet the Team

 Executive Director

 Vicki is a proud native of Texas and a University of Texas graduate. She is passionate about her relationship with the Lord and loves to care for those in need. She enjoys gardening, hospitality,  serving in Bible Study Fellowship and serving on the worship team at her church. Vicki joined Open Arms in 2017 as a client advocate and quickly realized that this was a calling, not just a volunteer position.  She joined the staff in 2018 and has progressed with the ministry through its growth, moving from Client Services Manager to Director of Client Services and now to Executive Director.   Her greatest joy in serving is sharing the love of God by discovering the needs of people, finding and providing resources, and encouraging them in their walk, knowing firsthand that God is able to make all things new. Now in her new position, she has a renewed vision to awaken the community to the changes in the pro-life/pro-death debate and to make Open Arms known in the community as a place for men, women and families to find hope, love and life.  

Director of Nursing

Cherie began volunteering with us in December 2023 after relocating to North Idaho. She works at Open Arms to support women and preborn children due to her belief in God’s love for all people. Cherie has worked as a Labor and Delivery and Nursery nurse for over 30 years and, in 2013, she began using her skills to serve at pregnancy clinics, empowering women and their partners to choose life for their children. She has spent most of her adult life in Western Washington and has lived in five different states, serving in five pregnancy centers. Cherie has three daughters and eight grandchildren. She is passionate about Jesus, her family, and truth. Cherie feels honored to have been chosen to lead the nursing team at Open Arms and is excited to see where the Lord will lead Open Arms in the future.

 Director of Advancement

Donna Hinojosa has served her community through nonprofit organizations for the past 17 years, driven by her passion for making a difference in the lives of others. She and her husband Fidel have 4 adult children, as well as 3 adorable granddaughters. Serving as a leader in her church's women’s ministry with a heart for teaching God’s Word and encouraging women brings her joy.

 Director of Client Services

 Diane enjoys sharing the love of Christ with all those who walk through the doors of the clinic, giving her the opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of others. She also enjoys spending time with family and friends, studying God’s word, and exploring the outdoors. In February 2020, Diane started her journey as a staff Client Services Assistant. After raising her family, she wanted to use her life experience and love for children to make an impact in her community. 

 Community Health Nurse 

Diana has experience working as a registered nurse in a variety of capacities — from bedside nursing to clinical settings to education training positions –but her heart lies in the calling of being a community health nurse. She is passionate about mentoring and building relationships, using nursing skills and knowledge, as well as a love for Christ, to instill hope and comfort, which can become a foundation for acquiring positive life skills and practices. Diana, along with her husband, are natives of North Idaho. Together, they have four children and enjoy outdoor activities, gardening, and working at youth camps. In July 2022, she had the privilege and honor to join the Open Arms team to focus on education and bring clinical support to her community.

 Staff Nurse

Dana was born and raised in Spokane Valley, Washington. After marrying Gary, she  moved to their home on the farm in Worley, Idaho.. They have six children and ten grandchildren. When homeschooling her children became a priority and a passion, Dana re-directed her nursing abilities to provide private nursing for friends and family. As the Lord stirred her heart, she embraced her passion for the sanctity of life and became a peer advocate at Open Arms in 2012. Since then, Dana has also served as a volunteer nurse and nurse manager at Open Arms. When not at Open Arms, Dana spends time talking to her chickens, enjoying her grandchildren, and making bread for her loved ones.

 Staff Nurse

Jessica is passionate about motherhood and empowering moms to thrive, not just survive. Her professional experience includes working with mothers and babies in the postpartum and the mother/baby unit at the hospital, as well as teaching labor and delivery preparation classes. In 2014, her family moved to Coeur d’Alene, where she has enjoyed learning homesteading skills alongside her husband and children. Jessica’s love for God and women led her to Open Arms in 2021 as a volunteer nurse, and in 2023 she became a staff nurse. She enjoys homeschooling her five children, reading, gardening, baking, and homemaking.

  Client Services Manager 

Laurice has lived in North Idaho since 2006. While she is a native Californian, Idaho has become HOME. As a mother of two adult children living in the Pacific Northwest, she and her husband are now empty nesters, enjoying time with their two beloved grandchildren whenever possible. Gardening, hiking and snowshoeing, biking, studying Scripture, and adventuring with her husband Dean are among her favorite activities outside of Open Arms. Joy in the Lord and His purposes compel her to minister through Open Arms and her role as Client Services Manager to impart hope, love, and life to each beloved client she encounters. 

Men's Program Manager

 Gary has been married to his wife, Jan, for over 40 years, and together they have two grown children. Over the years, he has worn many hats, but his current calling is to serve and encourage men to step into the responsibility and blessing of fatherhood. Gary believes the Lord calls us to reach the lost, protect the unborn, and walk alongside families with compassion and support—empowering men and women to become the best parents they can be. 

 Executive Administrative Assistant

Kimberly enjoys serving the Lord by serving others. She was born and grew up in Southern California. After praying for God’s provision, her husband of 30+ years and her relocated to beautiful North Idaho in 2020. They are living their best life and enjoy living in their new home state. Kimberly’s first ministry is her family but she is passionate about helping others and being available to be the hands and feet of Jesus. Her hobbies consist of cooking, alpine skiing, hiking, reading, and movie nights with her husband. It’s her desire to make everyone who walks through the door at Open Arms feel loved and comfortable.

  Staff Advocate

Becky was born and raised in Spokane, Washington, and graduated from Glen Dow Academy of Hair Design in 1998 as a licensed cosmetologist. She spent 25 years as a hairstylist, including 12 years owning and operating her own salon.

Becky is married to Pastor Matt, a volunteer at Open Arms, and together they have two adult children. In June 2024, they moved to Hayden, Idaho, to plant a church. Becky is part of the founding team of Berean Missionary Baptist Church in Coeur d’Alene, where she serves as a Sunday School teacher’s assistant.

Becky has been passionate about the anti-abortion movement since her teenage years and feels deeply called to serve women and families. Walking alongside them through this ministry is one of the most meaningful ways she shares the Gospel of Jesus Christ with those she has the greatest burden for.

Clinical Administrative Assistant

Leah was born in Southern California but has lived in CDA for 15 years. She enjoys spending time with Jesus, her family, and friends, and especially cherishes moments with her three little ones. Leah is passionate about people, relationships, baking, and motherhood. Photography is a significant part of her life, and she is dedicated to expanding her business in that field. Leah joined the Open Arms team in July of 2023 and is thrilled to grow and serve here. 

Clinical Administrative Assistant

Sue grew up living in 2 countries, 5 states, and 7 cities. She married her high school sweetheart in Snoqualmie Falls, WA, and together raised 4 children and 13 rescued puppies in 3 states and 5 cities. 16 of those years were spent homeschooling and the rest were as an obnoxious sports mom. God was always faithful to provide good church homes and amazing Christian friends in every town. Besides her kids, her passions are adoption, foster care and the pro-life community. Before working with Open Arms, she worked for a private foster/adoption agency in Southern California. After her son graduated early to Heaven, she wrote a children’s book focusing on the joy and adventures her son and his dog were getting to experience in Heaven. “Tyler and Jewel in the Forever Place.” North Idaho now feels like coming home where she enjoys gardening, kayaking and hiking when not traveling to visit her children and grandchildren in other states. 

 Financial Manager

Gloria enjoys spending time with her family, exploring new cooking recipes, and being outdoors. She has a strong passion for supporting the pre-born and serving mothers, which has only grown stronger after experiencing two devastating miscarriages. Gloria joined the Open Arms Team in May 2020 as a Donor Relations Specialist. In April 2021, she was selected to become the Bookkeeper based on her strong financial skills, which she demonstrated while working with her family’s small business.

 Marketing Specialist

 Ashley holds a B.A. in Communications from Seattle Pacific University and has been part of the Open Arms Real Choices Clinic team since 2022. She began as the Promotions Specialist and stepped into the role of Marketing Specialist in 2024. A gifted communicator with a heart for people, she uses her creativity and passion to share stories of hope and transformation made possible through the ministry of Open Arms.

Ashley is a single mom to her ten-year-old son, whom she also homeschools. Becoming a mother deepened the compassion she’s always had for women, especially those navigating unplanned pregnancies. Her personal journey fuels her professional mission and inspired her to found Single Moms in Life Empowerment (SMILE), a nonprofit that provides encouragement, support, and resources to single mothers.

When she's not working, Ashley enjoys reading, writing, journaling, worship, hiking, walking, swimming, paddle boarding, dancing, playing board games, going out to eat, and spending time serving at church. She is grateful to be part of the Open Arms team and passionate about helping women and families experience hope, healing, and truth.

 Promotions Specialist

 Antonia is finishing her degree in Office Administration with a minor in Graphic Design from West Coast Baptist College. She serves as the Pastor’s Daughter (which comes with a long list of sub-roles) at Berean Missionary Baptist Church here in Coeur d’ Alene. She enjoys quality time with friends and family, watching movies, and shopping. She has a continuing hunger to never stop learning, especially about God and His Word. Antonia became the Promotions Specialist at Open Arms in December of 2025. She has been a passionate member of the pro-life movement since she was a teenager and is excited to help the cause in an impactful way in our community.
